tijns illustrations have been awarded by the amsterdams fonds voor de kunst, and his book debut won him a zilveren penseel in 2002. his drawings and paintings have been exhibited in all major cities in the netherlands. in 2006, tijns book m is for monster has been chosen to represent the netherlands at the bookfairs of leon and madrid.
tijn is currently working on both a new children's book and a cartoon project for grown ups, as well as a series of children's t-shirts.
